Services for living and departed on All Souls with the blessing of Κολυβα (Kolivya) - boiled wheat berries, cooked and decorated by family members, then brought to church to be blessed and shared with parishioners. A beautiful, symbolic tradition in the Greek Orthodox church as the wheat seed reminds us of life, death, and regeneration (resurrection).
